Question: Are you satisfied with the new record? Any difference in composing or recording to your former efforts?
Jack Kelly: Very satisfied. We really took our time making these songs.
Question: Please tell me about the main difference between Boston and New York Hardcore? Any differences at all?
Jack Kelly: That's a very complicated question, because what I think is Hardcore might not be what somebody else thinks is Hardcore.
Question: Don't you think that old school Hardcore is already dead or is there some kind of a renaissance?
Jack Kelly: Again, I don't acknowledge "new school" Hardcore. If it's Hardcore, it's Hardcore!
Question: There is a new wave of Hardcore bands combining the old style with Death Metal like Caliban, Killswitch Engine or Sworn Enemy. Could you imagine to integrate this style, too? What do you think of Death/Black Metal in general?
Jack Kelly: Bands have been combining those styles for a long time, I have 2 words: crossover sucks! I like Black Metal, it is so extreme.
Question: What do you think about bands who sell themselves to the mainstream?
Jack Kelly: All the power to them.
Question: Many people say that a band reunion is just to get more money - what do you consider your reasons to be?
Jack Kelly: We never broke up, so we never had a reunion.
Question: Any changes in mind between your last concert and this CD? Has September 11th changed your way of approaching music or lyrics?
Jack Kelly: Not really.
Question: How does it feel to you getting older? Kirk Douglas once said: "getting old is not for pussies!" - do you agree?
Jack Kelly: I never heard that one! Getting old is fine, but there are plenty of people older than me!
Question: Could you explain the meaning of the cover?
Jack Kelly: It's an electronic schematic.
Question: And the title is obviously a reference to "chemical warfare" - what exactly do you mean by the attribute "digital"? Don't you like internet and computers?
Jack Kelly: The title means electronic warfare; killing form thousands of miles away by the use of computers. I love computers and the internet.
Question: Straight Edge is a way of life. please tell me how do you personally go this way?!
Jack Kelly: I am not Straight Edge.
Question: Straight Edge for me is a way to live in harmony with myself, my body and other people. But I saw that many people in the straight edge movement are very fanatic. They can not accept that many people don't live their way. isn't that a form of fascism?
Jack Kelly: Yes.
Question: What would you tell these people?
Jack Kelly: Shut the fuck up.
Question: What is the main difference between concerts in Europe and the USA? Will you be on tour in Germany in the near future?
Jack Kelly: In the states there is a lot less drinking and smoking and general drunkenness. We just finished touring Europe for a little while, maybe the spring.
Question: What was the worst thing that happened to you in a concert?
Jack Kelly: My zipper was down the whole show!
Question: And the greatest?
Jack Kelly: Hard to say, most of our shows are great.
Question: What do you think is your best CD ever? And your worst?
Jack Kelly: This is the best CD [for me]. The worst is "Blast Furnace".
Question: What are your three wishes for the next year?
Jack Kelly: Get health insurance, potty train my kids and grow vegetables in my garden.
Question: Thanks and hope I'll see you in Europe next year!
